Since March artist Nazir Tanbouli has been making The King’s Land, a series of dramatic murals on the walls of an East London housing estate. The Kingsland Estate in Haggerston will be pulled
down at the end of the year, and the murals bring an eruption of art into the dreary urban landscape.
The project has been featured in many articles and blogs, has been covered by CNN International and will be part of the BBC coverage of East End culture for London2012.
To celebrate the King's Land project the final summer of the estate, June 30th was the Kingsland Community Art Party, a day featuring live music and a lot of art.
